Wallpaper glue samples: what you get and how to test it
A sample is a working test, not a formality. KARN sends powder from the model you shortlisted, together with the TDS for that model, and confirms the pack format in the conversation. You mix it at the ratio you intend to use, hang the wallpaper you actually sell, and record the result before a bulk order.

What to put in the sample request
- The request is a short technical brief, not a shipping address. With these details the model shortlist and the sample arrangement can be settled in one round instead of five.
- Destination market and the channel you sell through: distributor, building-material store, OEM brand or contractor supply.
- Wallpaper type and weight: heavy vinyl, non-woven, paper, wall cloth, and the roll weight if you know it.
- Wall condition and primer, including whether the wall is new plaster, painted, or covered with an old covering.
- Pack format you plan to buy: 20kg bulk bag, or OEM small packs from 200g to 1kg.
- The models you want to compare, or the application if you want a shortlist instead.
- Documents you need for the market: TDS, MSDS applicability, or a batch COA for a confirmed production batch.
What arrives with the powder
- The model you shortlisted, in a pack that lets you mix at the intended ratio without guessing portions.
- The TDS for that model: base starch, published viscosity with its test conditions, mixing guidance and packaging.
- The pre-shipment QC standard for the model, which is published and downloadable.
- An MSDS where one applies to the model and market; applicability is confirmed rather than assumed.
How to run the trial so the result transfers to bulk
- Mix at 1:25 or 1:30 powder to water, and write down which one you used.
- Weigh both components, note the water temperature, the mixing time and the rest time before use.
- Hang the wallpaper you actually sell, on a wall built like the walls your customers have.
- Record open time, slide, seam tightness and the dry result after a full drying period.
- Photograph the seam and keep the mix record, so the bulk batch can be compared against it.
What a sample does not settle
- A sample settles how the powder behaves in your hands. It does not settle price, MOQ, lead time or freight, because those depend on the model, the pack format, the quantity and the route. Those are quoted against the inquiry.
- It also does not create a certification. The site publishes model data and technical documents; it does not claim ISO, REACH, SGS, Intertek, EAC, GOST or any other certification for a product unless a current verified document exists for that product.
From trial to bulk order
- Once the trial passes, the mix record becomes the reference: model, ratio, water temperature and the wallpaper it was hung on. Bulk supply ships as 20kg per bag in a kraft paper bag with a PE liner, with pallets, loading, marks and labels confirmed per order. If the trial needs a different pack format, the OEM range covers 200g, 300g, 500g, 1kg and custom sizes agreed per project.
Frequently asked questions
How do I request a wallpaper glue sample?
Send the destination market, wallpaper type and weight, wall condition and primer, the pack format you plan to buy and the models you want to compare. The sample arrangement and the shipping route are then confirmed against that brief.
Which documents come with a sample?
The TDS for the model and the published pre-shipment QC standard. MSDS applicability is confirmed by model and market, and a batch COA is provided only if one was actually issued for the confirmed production batch.
Can I get a sample of more than one model?
You can compare models, but two at a time is usually more useful than four: the trial record stays readable and the installer can tell the difference. State the models and the application in the request.
Does the sample decide the price or the MOQ?
No. Price, MOQ, lead time and freight depend on the model, the pack format, the quantity and the route, so they are quoted against the inquiry rather than fixed on this page.
What if the trial fails on my wallpaper?
Send the record back: model, ratio, water temperature, wallpaper and what failed, whether that was open time, slide, seam or the dry result. That usually points at the ratio or the model before it points at the powder.
